Description
The Philodendron Scandens Brasil is recognisable by its green and yellow leaves and is the variegated version of the classic Philodendron Scandens. Commonly called the ‘Sweetheart Plant’, due to its heart-shaped leaves, the Philodendrons Scandens is easy to grow and great for beginners making it a popular choice for house plant lovers.
The Scandens is very much a fast grower, and it can be displayed in either a hanging basket, or trained to climb up a pole, giving it a presentational versatility. It is also easy to care for and can tolerate lower light conditions, although medium light conditions will make the leaf colours more vibrant. This plant also doesn’t like to sit in overly soggy soil, so the watering needs are not severe.
